So many times over my 30 or more years in and out of the moving industry have I heard first hand accounts of moves gone wrong – and they were usually avoidable.
Moving is very stressful and can be expensive. The stress and cost can sometimes cause irrational thoughts and actions such as booking a mover over the phone because they promise a low price.
A rational thought would be, “I am not going to hand over everything I’ve worked my entire life for – everything that I treasure – to someone I’ve never met on a promise over the phone!”
Please use due diligence and be very skeptical of soothsayers and lowball quotes. They are either leading you astray or promising something they may not be able to deliver.
